As a supplier to a wide variety of industries, the company in Aspach (Upper Austria) offers complete mold construction from the drawing to the finished tool, and then produces the components in contract manufacturing.

Our task was to plan and install a customized emulsion mist extraction system for the large, constantly growing machine park for CNC turning, milling and grinding. The focus was on the protection of the environment, people and machines, and the special challenge was of course, as so often, the spatial conditions.

One thing was confirmed again in this project: Planning a process exhaust system for a new hall is already a complex challenge, but modernizing an existing industrial hall and bringing it up to today's standards of environmental protection, occupational safety and energy efficiency is a completely different challenge. IMEX is happy to take on this task and finds it important to develop innovative solutions for existing plants for many reasons.

The goal was to set up a central oil mist extraction system that would integrate all 26 machines in a hall. For this purpose, the entire hall was 3D scanned and an extraction concept was created and the piping and machine installation were planned in the model.

Of course, attention was also paid to energy efficiency and the best possible heat recovery. A Donaldson DMC-D6 oil mist separator with the most efficient WSO filter cartridges in Synteq XP technology was used. The frequency converter controlled system is conveniently monitored with the innovative FILTER MONITORING SYSTEM (FMS) developed by Imex. The system parameters and all progressions can be viewed live at any time via PC or tablet and the system can thus be controlled. This guarantees a high level of reliability and efficient operation with long runtimes.
A total of 26 CNC and turning machines of various designs and sizes were connected to the emulsion mist extraction system. The piping construction was carried out with the proven Jacob clamping ring system.
The efficiency of the plant was immediately apparent at the first start-up and from now on guarantees the best air quality inside and outside the plant - for people, the environment and machines.

FTR's strengths lie in turning and milling. The strength of IMEX Filtertechnik is the customized fitration solution in existing factory buildings.

Using and adapting old stock is a model for the future

The adaptation and modernization of existing objects are not only more economical for the customer than a new building, it is also extremely important from an environmental point of view. The adaptation of existing buildings prevents the construction and sealing of new areas and also saves high emissions caused by building materials and new buildings. IMEX Filtertechnik is pleased to be able to make an important contribution to resource conservation with its 3D planning and technology.
